Scotland the Brave!
Soooooooooo we started our final week before tour in cultural styeee! Monday has been Scottish night/day. I pretty much decided I would make a holiday of my very own and so Scottish night was born. This consisted of Charley Mcchargeeee and I making HAGGIS both Vegetarian and normal meat/intestine/innards versions avec assorted veggies.Complete with Scottish flags, bagpipes (Red hot chilli pipers…yes please), and snippets of Braveheart (we tried to get the whole thing off the internet and failed)
The lead up to this event was filled with anticipation and dread…..for our diners not so much ourselves…although the fact that I have been previously been banned from using ALL kitchen appliances was probably not a great comfort to most. This being said Charley and I pulled off quite an impressive traditional dinner! Mel Gibson, I mean Willie Wallace would have been proud.
Check out the pics of our culinary genius. Highlights of the night have to be:
-Molly’s face of utter terror and worry as she was handed the plate of haggis…she later learned to love it.
- Adam and Charlie leech REFUSING to beleive VEGETARIAN haggis contained no meat….they learned to love it.
- Nick being the only person in the world i know to put haggis and it’s side dishes into a WRAP! you are NOT in San Diego!!! he did NOT learn to love it!
I personally spent the evening with my face over a steaming pot of haggis and now feel like I’ve opened my pores and welcomed in animal parts.
as a vegetarian I do Not love it!
but it was fun!! On other notes
You may have noticed Nick’s ankle is carrying a little extra “holiday weight”. This is a result of him trying to be an athlete and going over on his ankle. This ended in a night and morning in A&E for Nick- I went along to try and offer some suppoert/advice! We had some intersting encounters at the hospital and anyone who has never experienced A&E in London at midnight should really make it their lifes ambition…and take a video camera. He is now making a great recovery despite the abuse of the rest of the team…invalid, hop a long etc.
Apart from that we are all in final week mode and on a screening mission! We have had …let’s just say…some bad luck but i LOVE everyone in our team for being so amazing and staying positive and excited- both here and SD I can’t imagine working with a better group of people. Uk misses you all in San Diego!!
It’s the final countdown……
Ami xxxx
